What is Holy IT?

Holy IT is my place to document what I learn while working in IT. Most of what you'll find here comes from real projects, problems, experiments, and the occasional rabbit hole.

I write about infrastructure, networking, Apple device management, cloud services, homelabbing, web development, AI, and whatever else happens to come across my desk.

Who Am I?

I'm Philip Gaw, a systems and network administrator working in IT for a nonprofit in Southern California. My day-to-day work spans networks, servers, endpoints, security, cloud services, and the systems that keep a multi-site organization running.

Outside of work, I maintain a homelab and spend an arguably unreasonable amount of time experimenting with technology.

Why I Write

A lot of IT knowledge comes from solving very specific problems at the exact moment something isn't working. I started documenting those solutions partly for myself (because I'm forgetful) and partly because the same notes might save someone else a few hours someday.

This isn't meant to be a news site or a collection of perfectly polished tutorials. Think of it more as a working technical journal: what I tried, what worked, what didn't, and what I learned along the way.
